Ways to earn

There are two ways to collect and open lootboxes - exploring lootboxes around you in the physical world and your level of physical activity (i.e. number of steps).

Exploring Lootboxes Near You ("Map Lootboxes")

  • Players open up the LootGO app where they'll see lootboxes randomly distributed around them

  • Players will walk to collect and open the lootboxes

  • When lootboxes are opened, players earn Gems to exchange for rewards

Energy System

  • Each Map Lootbox costs 1 Energy to open

  • By default all users will have 5 Energy

  • If Energy is at 0, Map lootboxes cannot be opened

  • +1 Energy every 2 hours (i.e. full recovery in 6 hours) -> so you can collect them in the morning and then evening for example

Based on Number of Steps ("Step Lootboxes")

  • Players can also open up lootboxes based on their number of steps

  • With every 1000 steps they've taken, they can open up 1 lootbox

  • When lootboxes are opened, players earn Gems to exchange for rewards

Slot System

  • There are 4 slots, each holds one lootbox at a time while it is "unlocking"

  • If all slots are full, new lootboxes cannot be acquired

  • Unlocking based on rarity: Common (10 minutes) / Rare (3h) / Epic (6h) / Legendary (12h)

  • Countdown starts as soon as the lootbox is placed in a slot

Objectives of Energy and Slot Systems

  • By introducing time-based restrictions, LootGO game mechanics encourages users to open lootboxes more regularly and not miss in-game rewards
